Ohio State failed to cover the spread in their football season opener against Florida Atlantic, but they’ll have a chance to make things right for bettors this weekend against Cincinnati as the Buckeyes opened as a 17-point favorite over the Bearcats on Sunday, according to BetOnline.ag.
Cincinnati will be the first in-state opponent that Ohio State will face since they took on Bowling Green in their 2016 season opener and it will be the first time that the Buckeyes have faced the Bearcats since their 2014 national championship season.
The Bearcats will return to Columbus with a familiar face this time as Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell will be returning to the sidelines at Ohio Stadium for the first time since he left the Ohio State coaching staff following the 2016 season to take the head coaching job at UC.
No. 5 Ohio State will take on Cincinnati this Saturday, September 7th at Ohio Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET and the game will be televised on ABC.
