2018 Ohio State Football Team Honored During Basketball Game

COLUMBUS, Ohio — During a media timeout of the Ohio State vs. Penn State men’s basketball game on Thursday night, former head coach Urban Meyer and the Buckeye football team was honored in front of the Value City Arena crowd.

The team was honored for their incredible 2018 season in which they amassed a 12-1 record, scored a school-record 62 points in their rivalry win over Michigan and defeated Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship Game before ending their season with a victory over Washington in the Rose Bowl Game.

The 2018 season ended up being the last for head coach Urban Meyer, who announced on December 4th that he would be retiring as head coach of the Buckeyes and assistant coach Ryan Day would be taking over as head coach.

Day and his new coaching staff just finished wrapping up their 2019 recruiting class yesterday on National Signing Day.

For all of you Ohio State fans who are itching for some Buckeye football, fear not, for spring practice starts the week of March 4th and the Ohio State football spring game will be held on April 13th at Ohio Stadium.
