The Early Signing Period opened up today as Ryan Day makes his first serious mark as the new head coach of the Buckeyes by continuing off of Urban Meyer’s recruiting excellence at Ohio State.
Throughout the day, you can stop here to find out who all has signed with Ohio State and find out a little bit about the new Buckeyes.
Without further ado, here are the players who have signed their letters of intent to play at The Ohio State University for their collegiate careers:
Just as predicted, Ohio State kept 5-star wide receiver out of Texas, Garrett Wilson, in their 2019 recruiting class as he signed with the Buckeyes on early Wednesday morning with it being officially announced by the team later in the morning.
Ryan Day secured his first huge recruiting victory as head coach of the Buckeyes as he landed Olentangy Orange 5-star defensive end Zach Harrison over rivals Michigan and Penn State.
Ohio State wrapped up their Early Signing Day with a commitment from 3-star defensive tackle Jaden McKenzie in the afternoon.
After Early Signing Day, Ohio State has just the 12th-ranked recruiting class in the nation due to the minimal size of their class, but in terms of composite ranking by player, Ohio State has the 3rd-best class in the nation, trailing only Alabama and Georgia in that category.
In what could have been a really rough hit to recruiting following Urban Meyer’s retirement announcement, Ryan Day managed to keep the excellence of Ohio State recruiting in tact with this class.
